Open House:
Each Friday afternoon parents are welcome to join the campers and
staff at the computer lab. Campers show off their work while enjoying
refreshments and parents have the opportunity to talk with the staff.
Acceptable Use Policy:
Campers and parents are required to sign an Acceptable Use Policy.
Transportation:
The computer camp provides the same transportation as the the Day
Camp which sends school buses and vans on routes through Andover,
North Andover, and surrounding communities. Within reason, the Camp
makes every effort to provide transportation when requested. Children
who live on or near these routes ride the bus for a set weekly rate.
Additional children from the same family may ride the bus for a
reduced rate. For an additional charge busses may arrange to travel
farther distances.
Parents will be notified by phone, prior to the beginning of each
session, of all arrangements made for their children.
Extended Day:
An Extended Day Program is available
to all campers, in the morning and in the afternoon, five days a week.
The morning program begins at 7:30 AM. Staff members meet the campers
and provide a number of activities including ball games, board games,
puzzles and books. At 8:30 AM staff members will walk with the campers
to the camp drop off area where they will join their regular camp groups.
The afternoon Extended Day Program begins at 4:30 PM and runs till
6:00 PM. Staff members meet the campers in front of the designated area
and walk with them to the pool/playground area. Many of the same activities
are offered in addition to the pool that is available for campers who
would like to swim. In the afternoons an extra snack is provided.
In case of rain, the Extended Day Program takes place in the gymnasium.
Health:
A registered nurse is on full-time duty during
regular hours to deal with minor medical problems. The camp office will
make every reasonable effort to contact the parents or the person designated
to contact for them in case of an emergency. The camp maintains an affiliation
with doctors retained by Brooks School. Medical forms are forwarded upon
acceptance of application and completion is required before start of camp.
