PROJECTS

Save The Pacific Foundation in association with other organizations is proud to be building a, world class, marine conservation network. Our projects will be evolving as the Foundation grows and expands to become a global force in marine conservation. Our current projects are as follows:

Grey Whale Project

Save The Pacific is working on a project monitoring, researching, evaluating, and filming the grey whales. We will start the project off the West Coast of America and travel with the whales to their calving grounds in Baja CA. We will be working with marine mammal scientists in California and in Mexico.  STP is in contact with scientists in Mexico and America. We are also in contact with the American Cetacean Society and are planning to team up and film their census and school projects based out of Los Angeles CA. From California we plan on following the whales south to Baja and filming the problems and progress of these wonderful animals. This project will bring attention to the conservation of our coastal habitats and the animals within them..

Striped Marlin of Magdalena Bay

Once a year marlin congregate off the coast of Magdalena Bay, Baja CA Sur. Beginning in late Oct., and continuing through December marlin and other pelagic species are offshore in abundance. We will work with other foundations and Marine Biologists while researching and filming the marlin for educational videos. Through Satellite tagging, catch and release observations, and open ocean monitoring we hope to gain a better understanding of these animals and share our findings in our documentary films.
