Fun Day Camp Activities

When it comes to ensuring a fulfilling and well-rounded summer camp experience, it pays to have tons of activities to fill up the day. The best day camp activities are ones that help campers branch out into new skills, new hobbies, and even discover new talents. Brooks School Summer Programs is proud of having a great list of activities for the day camp. Our activities will open up new doors to campers and let them explore the outdoors, experience a variety of physical activities, and try new things.
Here are just some of the day camp activities available for 2020.

Archery is one of the most unique sports and is rising in popularity with kids and teens. Campers can learn everything there is to know about range safety, receive training from certified instructors, and even try their hand at some friendly competitions.

Performing Arts

Drama and the performing arts are one of the best ways to develop confidence and learn how to captivate an audience. If your child is interested in acting and singing and wants to improve their stage presence, Broadway at Brooks is perfect. This summer, we are putting on a performance of Frozen and High School Musical.

We all know it gets hot in summer.  That’s why swim lessons and free swim time are a staple part of the Brooks School Summer Programs experience. Our campus offers swimmers the use of two outdoor pools. Learn new swimming strokes, or just splash around in the sun! At Brooks School Summer Programs, all activities around the water are always under the supervision of trained lifeguards.

For campers that are interested in a fun competitive sport and are looking for a great way to get active this summer, look no further than the tennis program at Brooks School Summer Programs. Our instructors work with campers to develop technique, practice different drills, and play competitive games.

One of the most creative activities is the music program. Helping our campers discover a love of music allows for self-expression is one of the most fulfilling things we do in all our programs. Campers will be taught by a passionate instructor and learn the basics of rhythm and timing.

Spending time on the lake in a canoe or rowboat is a great way to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. At Brooks School Summer Programs, our aspiring sailors can learn the basics of water safety and discover just what it takes to navigate a boat. Our skilled instructors will teach our campers everything from the parts of the boat, nautical terminology, and take them out on the water to experience what it feels like to be a captain.

Arts & Crafts

Arts and crafts are a great way to boost creativity and allows kids to explore new mediums for art. Campers will discover that art can be found anywhere and be made from almost anything. The team of counselors will help campers find their creative side and together create a variety of crafts and art projects.
