Being part of the Brooks School Summer Programs team is far more than a summer job, it’s an unforgettable experience. Here at Brooks, you’ll have an opportunity to work in a place where you will forge friendships and gain skills that will last a lifetime.
Sending a child to camp takes an enormous amount of trust on the part of parents. At Brooks, we take that responsibility seriously and maintain an environment that both encourage safety and health. Through our Summer Begins at Brooks initiative, we seek to introduce children to new activities, providing them with opportunities for emotional and physical growth. The ultimate goal of Brooks School Summer Programs is to provide an enjoyable, exciting summer experience that allows children to develop self-confidence, social achievement, and leadership skills.
Each season, we develop the Summer Programs team from alumni, students, and faculty from regional schools and colleges. We look for people with personality, character, maturity, professional training, experience, and, most importantly, a sincere desire to work with children.
As a staff member, you will enjoy working in a community environment. Our salaries are competitive and vary according to age, education, skill, and experience.
An extensive staff orientation session, before the arrival of campers, lets you get to know your colleagues while you plan and prepare for opening day. We revisit our goals for the season and use a variety of mediums to help you prepare for a successful summer.
Staff meetings every other Monday, giving us all a chance to evaluate our programs as a whole, announce items of interest, and discuss areas of improvement.
Group meetings, led by group coordinators, are scheduled weekly. These meetings allow you to discuss, plan, and support the needs of your campers.
The Brooks School Summer Programs office embraces an open-door policy. You are always welcome to contact the director, supervisors, and coordinators on an informal basis, with any of your concerns.
